HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth men's hockey team will host its annual toy drive for the Children's Hospital at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (CHaD) starting with this Saturday's game against Bentley at Thompson Arena.

However, unlike previous seasons when the toy drive has been a one-day event, this year will see the team expand the collection of new, unwrapped toys to two games.

Fans making donations can also bring toys to the Big Green's Wednesday, Dec. 5 home game against Vermont. That contest will be broadcast live to a national audience on the NBC Sports Network.

Both games are set for 7 p.m. start times, but fans can bring their donations to a marked table on the concourse for drop-off starting an hour before puck drop.

Several days after the Vermont game, the entire team will make its annual trip to CHaD to deliver the toys and receive a tour of the facility.

"This is always something that we all really enjoy and a day I have looked forward to all four years I was here," Nick Walsh '12 recalled after his final trip to CHaD last year. "We know how lucky we are, but it's a great experience for all of us to go over together and give something back to this community that has embraced us. But those kids give us as much as they think we are giving them and that is a great feeling."
