HANOVER, N.H. - Connor Goggin (Glen Ellyn, Ill.), a senior on this past season's men's hockey team, has signed an amateur tryout contract (ATO) with the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League (AHL).

Goggin played in all but one contest as a senior in 2011-12, finishing his playing career in a Big Green uniform with 123 games played to his name, tied for 19th all-time in program history.

As a senior, Goggin led the Dartmouth defensive unit in scoring with seven goals and 10 assists for 17 points and was named to the All-Ivy Second Team. His goals and points were career highs, while he dished out 10 assists in each of his final two seasons in Hanover.

For his career, Goggin eclipsed the 40-point mark in his final two weekends of play, wrapping up his collegiate career with 14 goals and 17 assists (41).

The Big Green's assistant captain will have a chance to play closer to family and friends as Rockford is less than two hours from his hometown of Glen Ellyn, Ill.

Goggin's first opportunity to suit up for the IceHogs will come on Tuesday, March 20 as they host the Hamilton Bulldogs.
