2014-15 (Junior): Played in seven games, making seven starts…Posted a 4-3-0 record overall and a 3-3-0 mark in league games…Finished the season with a 3.18 goals against average and a .876 save percentage…Turned aside 155 shots on the season…Picked up the first assist by a Dartmouth goalie in four years when he was credited with a helper against Sacred Heart on Dec. 14…Was tabbed as the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week on Dec. 16…Picked up wins against Sacred Heart (Dec. 14), at Cornell (Jan. 24), vs. Union (Jan. 31) and at Yale (Feb. 7)…The win in New Haven was the second in as many seasons for Grant who finished the night with 35 saves, including 26 in the final two periods.
2013-14 (Sophomore): Shared goaltending duties with James Kruger and Cab Morris for the beginning of the season before taking over the starter’s role on a permanent basis in December… Finished the year with a 3.01 GAA, a .909 save % and 726 saves in 25 appearances, all starts…Was 9-13-3 overall and 6-8-1 in league games…Earned All-Ivy League Second-Team honors…Was tabbed the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Month for February… Was arguably the nation’s best goaltender in the month of February, posting the best save percentage (.964) and the second-best goals against average (1.18) en route to a 4-0-1 record (.900)…His shutout (1-0) win at Cornell on Feb. 28 was the first by a Dartmouth goalie in Ithaca in 54 years…Named the ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week on Feb. 19 after wins at St. Lawrence and Clarkson…Earned his first ECAC Hockey Goaltender of the Week honor on Dec. 3 after picking up the team’s first win of the season against Harvard on Nov. 30 as Grant turned aside 22 shots in a 2-1 victory…Posted six games of 35 or more saves and 12 games of 30 or more…Turned aside 40 shots in a 4-1 win at defending national champion and eighth-ranked Yale on Dec. 6, the first win by a Big Green team in New Haven since Feb. 17, 2007, snapping a seven-game skid in the Elm City.
2012-13 (Freshman): Appeared in and started 16 games, seeing 931:49 of action…Finished the season with a record of 7-7-2…Posted a .911 save percentage and a 2.77 goals-against average…Made a team-leading 440 saves, while allowing just 43 goals…In his collegiate debut, he made 24 saves in a 4-0 shutout of Brown to win the Ivy Shootout on Oct. 27… Grant became the first Dartmouth goalie since Wesley Goding '39 to record a shutout in his first career appearance. Goding accomplished the feat on Dec. 12, 1936 against Columbia in a 9-0 win…Turned aside a Dartmouth season-best 40 shots in a 2-2 tie with Princeton on March 1 that locked up home ice for the first round of the postseason tournament…Posted 30 or more saves in eight of his appearances…Turned aside 35 shots in his home debut on Nov. 2 against eventual national champion Yale in a 7-4 win…Made 30 saves in a 4-2 victory over Vermont (Dec. 5) in a game broadcast nationally on the NBC Sports Network… In both games against eventual national runner-up Quinnipiac, he stopped more than 30 shots, including 32 in an overtime loss in Hamden and 38 in the regular season finale in Hanover.
Before Dartmouth: Comes to Dartmouth after three seasons with the Yarmouth Mariners of the Maritime Hockey League (MHL)...Led the MHL in shutouts in each of his last two seasons in the league...Earned the 2011-12 MHL Playoff MVP after helping his team to within one game of the Kent Cup Championship, falling in Game 7...During the run to the Kent Cup Finals, Grant posted a 2.21 goals-against average and a .930 save percentage in 18 playoff games...Helped Yarmouth to the Bent Division Championship in 2011-12......Named the MHL Player of the Week twice in each of his final two years with the Mariners...Was tabbed to the 2011-12 All-MHL First Team...Twice attended the Team Canada East Camp in 2011 and 2012...In his first season with the Mariners, he earned the team's Rookie of the Year award...Played in the Top 40 Prospects Game in 2010-11 hosted by NHL Central Scouting...Attended Central Kings for his high school, playing golf his final three seasons, including serving as captain his final year.
