Winter is in full swing for the Big Green. This week's DartmouthSports.com Athletes of the Week come from the hardwood of the basketball court and the frozen ice of the hockey rink.
On the hardcourt, senior David Rufful traveled to Alaska and came home with All-Tournament honors as well as the distinction of being in the top 10 highest three-point percentage shooters of the tournament all-time.
Sally Komarek led the Big Green women's hockey team to wins over ninth-ranked Harvard and 10th ranked Northeastern with two goals and an assist.
For their efforts, Komarek and Rufful have earned the distinction of DartmouthSports.com Athletes of the Week.

Junior (Minneapolis, Minn.) Junior, Forward, Women's HockeySally Komarek (Minneapolis, Minn.) tallied four points on the
week to help the Big Green win at ninth-ranked Harvard, 3-2, on Nov.
23, and defeat 10th-ranked Northeastern at home on Nov. 26. Against the
Huskies, Komarek tallied two goals, including the overtime game-winner,
and assisted on Dartmouth's first goal. At Harvard, assisted on the Big
Green's first goal. She also finished the week with a plus/minus of +3 and earned ECAC Player of the Week honors.
David Rufful was named to the All-Tournament Team at the Great Alaska Shootout as he averaged 17.7 points and 4.3 rebounds in the three games in Anchorage. He set a career-high with 19 points in a hard-fourth 71-69 loss to San Francisco in the opener, then equaled that total in a 12-point win over host Alaska Anchorage. In the final game against Central Michigan, he added 15 points, and in each game led Dartmouth in scoring. In addition, the team captain posted one of the 10 highest three-point percentages in the tournament's 34-year history, hitting on 10-of-15 (.667) from behind the arc.
