Cross High Performance Athletes of the Week: Meyer & Zupan
A
senior, Greta Meyer, led her women's lacrosse team to two victories, while a
freshman, Nejc Zupan, won two individual swimming Ivy titles. Meyer had an
eight-point week to lead Dartmouth to wins at Vermont, 10-6, and at Ivy foe
Yale, 9-7. Zupan won a pair of Ivy League titles in his first career
championship meet.

Senior attack
Greta Meyer (Denver, Colo.) helped the women's lacrosse team to a 3-0 start
with wins at Vermont, 10-6, and at Yale, 9-7, in the Ivy League opener for both
teams. Meyer tallied five points on four goals and one assist at Vermont and
followed that up with two goals and an assist at Yale. The senior was recently
named to the Tewaaraton Award watch list for the top player in collegiate
lacrosse, and is closing in on 100 career goals.

Week:
Nejc Zupan (Kamnik, Slovenia) Men's Swimming, Freshman, Freestyle/IM
Freshman Nejc Zupan (Kamnik, Slovenia) had one of the top performances of any
of the Ivy swimmers this past weekend at the Ivy Championships. He was one of
only two competitors to win multiple events, winning the 1650-yard freestyle
and the 1000-yard freestyle. In the 1650, he finished at 15:14.83, breaking the
previous school record of 15:35.60 held by Kevin Ellis '09. In his victory in
the 1000, he ended a stretch of six straight years in which a Harvard swimmer
won the event. He touched the wall at 9:03.37, setting a new Dartmouth record.
The previous mark was held by Ellis at 9:21.07.
