HANOVER, N.H. - For the final two times this fall, the Dartmouth equestrian team participated in two competitions over the weekend.

Saturday saw the Big Green travel to Durham to New Hampshire's show against 10 other programs. Taking fourth with 29 points, Dartmouth was led by first-place finishes from senior Helena Witte (Novice Flat) and junior Lauren Kwan (Walk Trot).

Witte's showing was also good enough to earn her the required number of points to move up to the Intermediate Flat division and qualify for Regionals. Sophomore Phoebe Reid earned enough points in Beginner Walk Trot Canter to move up to the Advanced Walk Trot Canter division.

The hosts from UNH were the Overall High Point Team on Saturday with 39 points.

The Big Green moved on to Endicott's show on Sunday, held at Springtime Farm in North Andover, Mass., where it shared the title of Reserve High Point Team with Castleton State College as both earned 35 points.

Vermont claimed the Overall High Point Team with 37 points against a field of 10 other schools.

Freshman Emma Waugh claimed first in Novice Flat, while sophomore Alexa Dixon was the top competitor in Intermediate Fences.

The team ends the fall season ranked No. 2 in Zone 1, Region 2 and was the Reserve High Point Team in four of its five shows during that time.

Dartmouth will be back in action for the spring season starting in March.
