HANOVER, N.H. – The Dartmouth equestrian team hosted and took third place at the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Regional Championship held at Morton Farm Saturday.

Alexa Dixon and Helena Witte will both be moving on to the Zone I Championship Show next Saturday at Mount Holyoke following top-2 finishes in Hanover.

Dixon was first in Intermediate Flat, while Witte took second in Novice Fences. In addition, Dixon was third in Intermediate Fences with Witte placing sixth in Novice Flat.

Courtnie Crutchfield just missed out on moving on, as she was third in Walk Trot. Tasha Bock was fourth in Walk Trot Canter, followed by Rochele Brown in fifth.

Abby Franklin claimed fifth in Novice Flat and Janna Wandzilak competed in Intermediate Flat, but did not place in the event.

A total of 11 schools competed at the Big Green’s home venue of Morton Farm with New Hampshire taking the top spot. Vermont was second, finishing just ahead of Dartmouth in the team standings.

If Dixon and Witte can earn top-2 finishes next week at Zones, they will advance to the National Championship Show in Harrisburg, Pa., on May 2-5 at the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex.
