WILLISTON, Vt. - The Dartmouth equestrian team competed in two shows this weekend in the Green Mountain State. Saturday saw the Big Green ride at the University of Vermont's facility in Williston before Sunday had the team at Middlebury.

On Saturday, Dartmouth finished fourth in a field of 10 programs, posting 34 team points in the process.

Leading the team that afternoon in Williston were juniors Janna Wandzilak and Lauren Kwan as well as sophomore Alexa Dixon. All three claimed first place in their respective events. Wandzilak was the top rider in the Intermediate Flat, Kwan claimed the top spot in Walk Trot, while Dixon was first in Intermediate Fences.

Dixon also took home second in Intermediate Flat, while Wandzilak was third in Open Fences.

Freshman Jesse Menville was second in Novice Flat and fifth in Novice Fences. Fellow freshman Felicia Jia took third in Advanced Walk Trot.

The following afternoon at Middlebury, the Big Green placed fifth in the team standings.

Kwan was the lone winner on Sunday, taking first in Walk Trot.

Senior Abby Franklin was third in Intermediate Flat, while Jia and Wandzilak each earned fourth-place finishes in Walk Trot Canter and Open Fences, respectively. In addition to her placement in Open Fences, Wandzilak also was fifth in Open Flat.

The two shows concluded the team's regular season, but the Zone 1, Region 2 Championships still remain on Dartmouth's schedule. The Big Green will host the championship show on Saturday, March 30 in Hanover.
