HANOVER, N.H. - Dartmouth head coach Sally Batton has been named the recipient of the 2013 Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) Lifetime Achievement Award, the organization recently announced.

In her 23rd season at the helm of the Big Green equestrian program as both Director of Riding and head coach, Batton has guided her team to three Ivy League titles (2010, 2007, 1997) as well as sending several Dartmouth riders on to compete at the Intercollegiate Horse Show.

A member of the IHSA Board of Directors since 1984, Batton has served as regional president as well as the chair of numerous committees. Since 2011, Batton has also held the position of IHSA National Steward as part of the Executive Committee.

In 2008, Batton earned national attention for her work in the Upper Valley as she was named the American Riding Instructors' Association Instructor of the Year.

Just the 21st recipient of the organization's Lifetime Achievement accolade in the 45-year history of the IHSA, Batton will officially be honored the first weekend of May at the IHSA National Championship Horse Show in Harrisburg, Pa.
