HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth equestrian team enjoyed success in both shows and in the classroom in 2011-12. Nine members of this year's team were recognized for their efforts in the realm of academics with spots on the Intercollegiate Horse Show Association (IHSA) All-Academic Team.

Seniors Christina Herren (Chicago, Ill.), Faye Keegan (Greenwich, Conn.) and Natalie Colaneri (Jericho, N.Y.) lead the way with junior Gaby Sauza (Atlanta, Ga.) also making the list.

Sophomores Janna Wandzilak (Waxhaw, N.C.) and Isa Francisco (Manila, Philippines) and freshmen Emily Estelle (Westminster, Mass.), Alexa Dixon (Islamorada, Fla.) and Tasha Bock (Encinitas, Calif.) rounded out the nine riders to earn the academic distinction.

In order for a rider to be recognized, they must post a grade-point average (GPA) of 3.50 or higher.

Estelle earned all-academic first team honors as she posted a GPA of 3.8 or better.

A nominee for recognition must also be a full-time student and have participated in at least two regular season IHSA shows during the academic year.
