HANOVER, N.H. - The Dartmouth equestrian team had its first home event of the year Saturday morning when it hosted the annual Dartmouth Show. The Big Green earned second place in a field of 10 teams competing at the Dartmouth Riding Center.

In all, five Dartmouth riders earned first-place showings Saturday. Senior Cristina Herren (Chicago, Ill.) was first in the Open Fences, while juniors Olivia Cameron (Wilmont, N.H.) and Courtnie Crutchfield (Boston, Mass.) took the top spot in Open Flat and Walk/Trot, respectively.

Sophomore Maya Johnson (Kenai, Alaska) and freshman Emily Estelle (Westminster, Mass.) also claimed first place in Beginning Walk/Trot/Canter and Novice Flat, respectively.

Besides her first-place finish in Open Flat, Cameron placed second in Open Fences. Junior Abby Franklin (Wilmont, N.H.) placed second in Novice Flat as well.

For her performances on Saturday, Cameron was the Reserve High Point Rider of the show.

The Big Green will spend next weekend with two shows on the road at Colby Sawyer (Saturday) and UNH (Sunday).
