Prior to his stint in Orlando, Salvas spent three years working in the Quinnipiac sports information department. While at QU, Salvas served as the primary media contact for more than a dozen sports as well as the secondary contact for the nationally ranked men's hockey team.

Salvas was the driving force behind bringing the Stanley Cup to Dartmouth in the summer of 2016 after Ben Lovejoy ’06 won it as a member of the Pittsburgh Penguins. He and his wife Candice welcomed their son, Blake, in November, and the trio currently reside in Lebanon with their chocolate lab, Ellie.
