HANOVER, N.H. – Dartmouth women’s hockey head coach Mark Hudak has announced that seniors Lindsay Holdcroft and Ali Winkel will serve as team co-captains for the 2013-14 season.

For the third straight year, a pair of upperclassmen share the co-captain duties as the two members of the Class of 2014 take over for the responsibilities for the graduating Jenna Hobeika and Reagan Fischer.

Holdcroft becomes the first goaltender during Hudak’s tenure to wear the ‘C’ for the Big Green. The Pittsburgh, Pa., native is coming off her third straight Defensive Player of the Year as named by the team following the conclusion of the season. Holdcroft finished her junior year racking up 15 wins and posting a save percentage of .914 in 31 games played.

The team’s Most Improved Player as a sophomore, Winkel will now share the responsibilities of leading the Big Green with Holdcroft during her season campaign. As a junior in 2012-13, Winkel played in 31 games, registering two assists while centering the third line. In 93 career contests, the Espanola, Ontario, native has tallied five goals and eight assists for 13 points.
