BOSTON - Senior co-captain Reagan Fischer's third-period power-play goal helped the Dartmouth women's hockey team force overtime, but No. 10 Northeastern found a way in the extra session to come out with a 3-2 win inside historic Matthews Arena.

Kendal Coyne's 16th of the year found space 2:08 into the extra frame to help give the Huskies their 10th win of the season (10-5-2), while evening the Big Green's overall mark (4-4-2).

Trailing 2-1 heading into the final period, it was Fischer's sixth of the season at 7:40 that would eventually send the game to overtime, already the fifth OT contest of 2012-13 for the Big Green.

Senior Sally Komarek gave the visitors a 1-0 lead just 3:26 into the game, a good sign for a team that was shutout at Harvard in its last outing on Friday night and looking to get back on the scoresheet. Classmate Jenna Hobeika and freshman Laura Stacey had helpers on the first-period tally.

Northeastern answered back with goals midway through the second and third periods from Colleen Murphy and the first of the night off the stick of Coyne.

After a less than stellar 0-for-10 night on the power play in Cambridge last time out, Dartmouth was 1-for-4 Wednesday night, while holding Northeastern to an 0-for-5 showing with the man-advantage.

The Green's Lindsay Holdcroft matched Huskies' netminder Chloe Desjardins as each stopped 26 on the night in 62:08 of play.

Dartmouth will continue its current eight-game road swing with a pair in Orono this weekend, taking on Maine Saturday and Sunday. Both games are matinees and are set to get underway at 3 p.m. at Alfond Arena.
