Women's Hockey and Women's Basketball Set to Host Pink Games

Hanover, N.H. ­– Dartmouth College women’s hockey and women’s basketball teams will join in the nation wide effort to raise cancer awareness though Pink initiatives at upcoming games.

 

Women’s Hockey – Pink at the Rink – Saturday, Feb. 4

Women’s Hockey is set to host Pink at the Rink this Saturday, Feb. 4 during a 4 p.m contest against Quinnipiac. In recognition of the fight against cancer fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game.

 

The first 200 fans in attendance will receive a FREE PINK T-SHIRT courtesy of  JMH Wealth Management. There will also be in-game raffle prizes including, future game tickets, a signed hockey stick by the 2011-2012 Big Green team, a $50 gift certificate to the Dartmouth Bookstore and more. 

 

Women’s Basketball – Play for Kay – Friday, Feb. 10

Dartmouth women’s basketball will continue the festivities Friday, Feb. 10 hosting their annual Play for Kay (formerly WBCA Pink Zone) cancer awareness game when they face Princeton at 7 p.m.

 

Fans who received pink piggy banks at a previous game earlier in the season are encouraged to return the change they have collected in those banks, with all proceeds going to the Norris Cotton Cancer Center. Please note, fans will be able to keep their piggy banks and take them home once they have emptied out their change.

 

The Big Green players will sport pink shooting shirts before the game along with pink shoelaces. The first 200 fans in attendance will receive FREE PINK T-SHIRTS courtesy of JMH Wealth Management along with in-game raffle prizes including a $50 gift certificate to the Dartmouth Bookstore, autographed mini basketballs, future game tickets and more.

 

Friday’s tilt is also the annual National Girls and Women in Sports Day Game and in honor of this event all youth teams and groups can register in advance for free admission to the game.
