Dartmouth Female Athlete of the Week:
Lindsay Holdcroft (Pittsburgh, Pa.), Women's Hockey, Freshman, Goaltender
Freshman Lindsay Holdcroft's (Pittsburgh, Pa.) play has improved with each game and last weekend was no different. The goaltender made 51 saves, allowed only one goal and recorded a shutout in two victories for the Big Green. Her play has helped Dartmouth roll off five straight wins and moved the team into third in the ECAC. In the five victories, she has only allowed three goals. She now has three shutouts in her career, and has earned the conference's rookie of the week award twice this season.
Dartmouth Male Athlete of the Week:
Matt Lindblad (Winnetka, Ill.), Men's Hockey, Freshman, Forward
Freshman Matt Lindblad (Winnetka, Ill.) got back to the scoring he saw earlier this season with three points in a 7-3 win over Colgate last weekend. Lindblad, who has been sick the last couple of weeks, was finally back to full strength and he showed it when he tipped the puck into the back of the net early in the second period to give the Big Green a 3-1 lead. In the final two goals of the contest, he made two heads-up plays that resulted in the sixth and seventh goals for Dartmouth. He is Dartmouth's highest scoring rookie this season with 17 points and was a +5 in two games last week for the Big Green.
