Q and A with Nash Larmoyeux
The tradition of strong athletic programs, beautiful scenery, and outstanding academics made my decision to attend Dartmouth an easy one. Dartmouth is a unique college community where a commitment to excellence is nurtured both in the classroom and on the water. I bleed Green.
How long have you been rowing and what interested you about rowing?
I started rowing in the 8th grade. After losing to my older brother in tennis for the millionth time, I decided that I needed a sport overhaul. I first learned to scull at Craftsbury Common. I rowed Varsity fours + for Deerfield Academy. Prior to my senior year at Deerfield, I spent two summers rowing for Penn AC in Philadelphia where our 4+ won the National Club Championship at Oak Ridge, Tennessee. My favorite time on the water is early morning when our boat is in perfect synch.
What is something about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates?
Sometimes I sleep with my eyes open.
What are your future plans, if any?
I plan on continuing my rowing career at Dartmouth and academically pursuing a degree in Asian Studies and International Relations.
