1.    Where are you from and whom did you row for prior to Dartmouth?

I am from Minnetonka, Minnesota. I didn't row before Dartmouth but was a distance runner in high school.

2.    Why did you choose Dartmouth and the Dartmouth Rowing Program?

I chose Dartmouth because for me it's the ideal college: steeped in traditions, held together by a strong community, and filled with normal, fun students. Rowing at Dartmouth was something I did on a whim... the camaraderie of the team and peaceful Connecticut River made me stick with it.

3.    What do you participate in at Dartmouth, apart from rowing?

I work for "The Dartmouth" newspaper, participate in the Dartmouth Outing Club, and work on campus. I also play a lot of frisbee casually in my free time.

4.    Tell me something about yourself that might come as a surprise to your teammates.

I am a 4-handicap golfer. I hit my first hole-in-one when I was 15.

5.    What is your best memory from rowing at Dartmouth so far?

Having a doughnut eating challenge on the way back from the IRA. Twelve donuts as fast as you can- every freshman has to do it.

6.    What are your plans for the future?

I hope to work in the financial sector when I graduate from Dartmouth and eventually get an MBA. From there, I hope to move back to Minnesota and
eventually become a college counselor.
