Scott Phelps came to Dartmouth prior to the start of the 2012-13 season. A former assistant coach at the University of Texas, Phelps will assist the Big Green coaching staff in day-to-day operations, while working closely with student-athletes on both the men's and women's sides.

As a member of the Longhorns' staff for two years, Phelps was a part of a cross country program that reached the National Championship meet in consecutive seasons.

In both years, Texas produced the top freshman finisher; a product of Phelps' guidance throughout the fall.

During his time in the Lone Star State, Phelps also contributed to the men's indoor and outdoor track & field teams that finished third nationally in the Program of the Year field.

His time in Austin also saw Phelps work directly with two All-Americans and All-Big 12 Performers as well as help the coaching staff produce the nation's top recruiting class in 2011.

A 2010 graduate of the University of Illinois, Phelps was a four-year letterwinner in all three seasons of competition.
