STOWE, Vt. — The warm and rainy weather that invaded the Northeast overnight caused the cancellation of the slalom on the second day of competition at the Vermont Carnival. Host Vermont sits atop the leaderboard after scoring 234 points in the giant slalom on Friday, while Dartmouth is just 15 points behind in second.

The Nordic events are still on tap, which are scheduled for Feb. 1-2 due to the U.S. Cross Country Championships that were held at Soldier Hollow, Utah, on Jan. 4-10.
