LYME, N.H. — Windy conditions once again made it difficult to run the slalom at the Dartmouth Skiway, but the competing teams managed to complete the races that were postponed last weekend at the Dartmouth Winter Carnival with the Big Green taking three of the six podium spots.
With the ski luft shut down with the high winds, the skiway staff used snowcats to ferry the skiers up the mountain. Freshman Lizzie Kistler (Santa Rosa, Calif.) won the women’s slalom while senior Annie Rendall (South Burlington, Vt.) recorded the third best time. Freshman Maisie Ide (Minneapolis, Minn.) gave Dartmouth another top-10 time by claiming seventh.
On the men’s side, sophomore Ben Morse (Carrabassett Valley, Maine) took third to finish on the podium.
The actual times were not available, and the races did not count toward the team total for the Winter Carnival. But they will be used in determining rankiong NCAA qualifiers.
Dartmouth will compete at the EISA Championships this weekend, held at Black Mountain in New Hampshire and Sunday River in Maine.
