SUFFERN, N.Y. — The Dartmouth women's golf team finished tied for sixth at the Roar-ee Invitational on Saturday at the Spook Rock Golf Course in Suffern, N.Y. Harvard claimed the team title with a two-round total of 600 (+24). Michelle Piyapattra of Columbia was the individual medalist after finishing even par at 144.

Columbia came in second in the team competition at 606 (+30), and St. John's placed third with a 625 (+49). The Big Green finished with a 638 (+62) after shooting a 322 in the second round. Freshman Jane Lee (North Shore City, New Zealand) tied for sixth at 151 (+7) with two other players. She shot a 75 on day two, following a 76 in the opening round. Sophomore Sarah Knapp (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) finished in a tie for 24h with a 159 (+15), and senior Marietta Smith (Mount Prospect, Ill.) tied for 34th at 164 (+20). Knapp shot an 80 in the second round and Smith had an 86.

Freshman Savannah Grice (Atlanta, Ga.) and sophomore Kathryn Kennedy (Medina, Minn.) were the other two scorers for Dartmouth. Grice had a two-day total of 169 (+25) to tie for 45th, and Kennedy shot a 177 (+33) to tie for 57th.

The Big Green finished tied with Fairleigh Dickinson for sixth. The Knights shot a 312 in the second round to move up in the tournament. Seton Hall placed fourth at the event with a 629 (+53), and Rutgers came in fifth at 636 (+62). Dartmouth entered the second round in sixth after posting a 316 in the opening round.

Dartmouth returns to action in two weeks for the final tournament of the season at the Ivy League Championship. The tournament will be held at the Seaview Golf Club in Galloway, N.J. on April 27-29.
