PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. — The Dartmouth women's golf team opened the spring portion of its schedule this past weekend at the Homewood Suites Siena Invitational at Port St. Lucie, Fla. The Big Green finished sixth out of eight teams at the par-72 PGA Village on Saturday.

Dartmouth ended the tournament with a team score of 693 (+117) after shooting 341 on the first day and a 352 in the second round. Freshman Jane Lee (North Shore City, New Zealand) was the top scorer for the Big Green, finishing in a tie for third with a 152 (+8). Lee fired a 78 in the opening round, and then bounced back with a two-over-par 74 on day two of the tournament.

Seniors Heather Roland (Newtown Square, Pa.) and Marietta Smith (Mount Prospect, Ill.) tied for 31st with a 176 (+32). Roland shot 88 in each of her rounds, while Smith opened with an 82 in the first round and had a 94 on the second day.

Senior Kathleen Quirk (Kansas City, Mo.) placed 42nd in the tournament with a 189 (+45). She had a 93 on day one and a 96 in her second. Freshman Savannah Grice (Atlanta, Ga.) tied for 43rd with a 189 (+45). She shot a 94 and a 96.

Seton Hall won the Invitational with a team score of 615 (+39). The team was led by McKenzie Cutter who placed second with a 150 (+6). Indianapolis took second with a 647 (+71) behind the stellar play of Jenny Konop who took the individual title. Konop shot an even-par 144 after a 71 and a 73.

The Big Green next compete at the Brown Invitational on April 7-9 at the Rhode Island Golf Club.
