HINGHAM, MASS. — In the final event of the fall season, the Dartmouth women's golf team finished seventh at the Harvard Invitational this past weekend. At the Boston Golf Club, the Big Green shot a 662 in the seven-team event. Penn won the event with a 637 at the par-72 6,006-yard course. Harvard and Columbia tied for second at 642.
Freshman Jane Lee (North Shore City, New Zealand) led the team, finishing in a tie for fourth with a 157. Sophomore Sarah Knapp (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) tied for 15th at 163. Senior Heather Roland (Newtown Square, Pa.) placed 23rd at 169, senior Marietta Smith (Mount Prospect, Ill.) tied for 32nd at 175 and freshman Savannah Grice (Atlanta, Ga.) finished tied for 36th at 181.
Michelle Piyapattra won the event with a 149 and Bonnie Hu of Harvard placed second at 155. The event marked the final event of the fall season for the Big Green. The team won two events, the Dartmouth Invitational and the ECAC Championship, and will return to action in the spring.
