EGG HARBOR, N.J. — The Dartmouth women's golf team leads the ECAC Championship at the Twisted Dune Country Club with a score of 308 after day one of the 14-team event. The Big Green leads Sacred Heart (310) by two strokes and Hofstra (321) by 13 shots. Senior Heather Roland (Newtown Square, Pa.) leads Dartmouth and is tied for second after a first-round 75 (+3).

Lauren Petty of Hofstra leads the event after a 3-under-par 69. Big Green sophomore Sarah Knapp (Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla.) is tied for fourth place with a 4-over-par 76. Senior Marietta Smith (Mount Prospect, Ill.) shot a 78 (+6), freshman Jane Lee (North Shore City, New Zealand) carded a 79 (+7) and junior Colleen Carroll (Bettendorf, Iowa) shot an 88 (+16) to finish out the scorers for Dartmouth.

The tournament concludes on Monday with a another 18 holes of competition.
