HANOVER, N.H.Fox College Sports (FCS) announced today that it will televise seven Ivy League football games for the 2013 season.. The first two contests on the slate involve Dartmouth — this Saturday against Holy Cross at 7 p.m. and the homecoming game on Oct. 12 against Yale at 1:30 p.m. Each of the schools in the Ancient Eight will be featured at least once on the network. Play-by-play announcer Eric Frede and former NFL linebacker Steve DeOssie will call the action for FCS.

“We are excited to enhance our national television presence that allows our fans and alumni to watch more Ivy League football games this season,” said Robin Harris, Ivy League Executive Director. “Our League is fortunate to add Fox College Sports to our roster of television partners and expand our television exposures to showcase Ivy League football.”

Dartmouth will also appear on NBC Sports Network in another home game, versus Cornell, on Nov. 9 as previously announced.

This is the 20th consecutive year that the Big Green will have at least one of their football games televised, and the 60th anniversary of the first televised game in Dartmouth football history, played in Lynn, Mass., against Holy Cross on Sept. 26, 1953. It was also the first-ever New England college game to be broadcast on television. In all, the Big Green have had 77 football games televised, 30 alone since the year 2000.

Due to broadcasting rights, each of the three broadcasts will be geoblocked. Fans inside of the United States, its territories and possessions (including but not limited to Puerto Rico, Guam, American Samoa and the U.S. Virgin Islands and U.S. military bases and ships at sea) and the Islands of the Caribbean Basin cannot watch the games televised by FCS live online through Big Green Insider via the Ivy League Digital Network. These games will appear for on-demand viewing on Big Green Insider 24 hours after their respective initial broadcasts. For fans outside of the U.S. and aforementioned areas, those games will appear live on Big Green Insider. Your status is determined by the location of your IP address.

For the Dartmouth-Cornell game on NBC Sports Network, fans inside of the United States, its territories and possessions, and the Islands of the Caribbean Basin, can watch live online on NBC Sports Live Extra Online. These games will not appear for on-demand viewing on Big Green Insider until seven days after its initial broadcast. For fans outside of the U.S. and aforementioned areas, this game will appear live on Big Green Insider.
