Andi Bentley enters her first year as an assistant coach with the Dartmouth College volleyball program. She will assist with the defensive specialists.

Bentley comes to Dartmouth after spending the past year as a volunteer assistant coach at her alma mater, North Carolina State University. With NC State, she worked with the defense and serve receive systems, helping the team to a 20-win season.

Prior to NCSU, Bentley served two seasons as a defensive specialist coach with North Carolina Central University. Among her responsibilities with the Eagles were opponent scouting, player skill development and administrative duties.

In addition to her collegiate coaching experience, Bentley also spent eight years with the Triangle Volleyball Club in Morrisville, N.C. While there, she coached the top 12, 14, 16 and 17s teams, leading the squads to unprecedented success. Altogether, Bentley coached her teams to eight region championships and numerous top-half finishes at USA Junior Nationals.

A 2008 graduate of North Carolina State University, Bentley obtained a Bachelor of Science in Biology. During her time at NC State, Bentley became one of the best defensive players in the Atlantic Coast Conference. As a member of the Wolfpack, she led in several statistical categories and currently stands ninth all-time in career digs with 1,132. 

During her collegiate playing career, Bentley also tallied several academic honors. In addition to being honored as an Academic All-American, she was twice named to the All-ACC Academic Team and was an NC State Scholar-Athlete. She also earned multiple spots on the Dean's List and ACC Honor Roll.

A native of Cary, N.C., Bentley attended Cardinal Gibbons High School, one of the premier volleyball schools in the state. While at Cardinal Gibbons, Bentley led her team to three consecutive state championship titles. During her high school career, she set four school records, including single-match digs, single-season digs, career digs and career aces.
