Big Green athletes look to help lead their team's to victory and along the way make a name for themelves in the annals of Dartmouth history. Seniors Elisa Scudder and Dominick Pierre made their mark on Dartmouth record books this past week in their respective sports. Scudder had nine blocks over the weekend on the volleyball court to set a new Big Green record of 290 blocks in a career. Pierre had a career weekend of his own, carrying the ball a career-high 37 times in a win over Yale, going over the 2,000 yard mark for only the third time in Dartmouth history.

Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week.

Each week, will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

Dominick Pierre (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.), Sr., RB, Football

A 5-11, 215-pound senior from Fort Lauderdale, Fla., Pierre was the workhorse for the Big Green offense, carrying the ball a career-high 37 times for 167 yards, including the game-winning, six-yard touchdown in the fourth quarter that broke a 13-13 tie. During that decisive drive, Pierre took the handoff on seven of the 10 plays to cover 35 of the 53 yards Dartmouth traveled for the score. In addition, the product of Calvary Christian Academy became just the third Big Green player to record 2,000 rushing yards in a career with his first run of the second half that went 10 yards. He finished the day with 2,109 yards and needs just 144 more to move into second on Dartmouth’s all-time rushing list.
