Call it what you want but "Football" players led the Big Green to success this week on the pitch and the gridiron. Sophomore Dalyn Williams was playing quarterback in the American version of the sport while junior Tatiana Saunders earned her honors in goal for the women's soccer team.
Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week.
Each week, DartmouthSports.com will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

Thanks to amassing 228 passing yards and another 119 on the ground in a 30-23 victory at Butler on Saturday, Dartmouth sophomore quarterback Dalyn Williams was chosen as the Ivy League’s co-Offensive Player of the Week. He shared the honor with Harvard quarterback Conner Hempel, who threw for 345 yards and four touchdowns in a 42-20 triumph at San Diego.
Williams enjoyed his third straight 200-yard passing game dating back to last year, completing 22-of-35 tosses. He also posted his first career 100-yard rushing game, averaging 6.6 yards on his 18 carries, plus ran for the first of four Big Green touchdowns on the evening. In addition, he did not throw an interception, extending his streak to 149 consecutive passes without being picked off to start his career.

Junior Tatiana Saunders was named Ivy League Co-Player of the Week after posting a pair of clean sheets over St. John's and Maine. The Rye, New York, native made eight saves in the scoreless tie against the Red Storm and then four more against the Black Bears at home. Saunders currently posts a 1.47 goals against average and a .769 save percentage. The women's soccer team will return to action on Thursday when they meet UMass Lowell on Burham Field.
