Junior Varsity Finishes Shortened Schedule 2-1
HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth junior varsity team got 87 yards, 10 coming on a touchdown run, from hard-running freshman Kyle Bramble Sunday afternoon in a 21-6 loss to Bridgton Academy.
The Big Green, which had to replace the traditional game against Harvard with a passing scrimmage against Norwich University two days earlier, closes out their schedule with a 2-1 record that featured wins over Middlebury and Williams.
Bramble broke off the left side and dove over the pylon to pull Dartmouth within 14-6 midway through the third quarter. But Bridgton, which posted victories over Brown and Yale earlier this fall, put the game away with a 59-yard drive that resulted in a short touchdown run with 8:38 remaining.
Sophomore linebacker Ben Ticknor posted 13 tackles to lead the Big Green defense. Dartmouth got eight tackles and a fumble recovery from junior Evan Bloom, and seven tackles and two sacks from junior defensive lineman Max Kingsley.
Freshman linebacker Zach Slafsky had seven tackles and an interception. Freshman corner K.J. Booze also had an interception to go along with six stops.
