HANOVER, N.H. — Freshman Alex Park passed for two touchdowns and pushed in from the one for another as Dartmouth did all its scoring in the first quarter of Sunday’s 21-12 junior varsity win over Bridgton Academy. The Big Green closes out the jayvee season with a 3-1 record.
Jordan Are’ topped the Big Green receivers with six catches for 131 yards including a 65-yard touchdown from Park, who also hit Joe Dowdell from 17 yards out for a score.
The final Dartmouth touchdown later in the first period came on Park's sneak five plays after Jimmy Johnson recovered a Big Green kickoff at the Bridgton 35. That made it 21-0.
Bridgton scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter but ran out of time when John Higgins recovered the visitors' onside kick with two minutes remaining.
Higgins led the Dartmouth ground game with 77 yards on 17 carries.
Ben Magnus was the Big Green's leading tackler with 10 stops. Linebacker Tom Patek and defensive end Evan Chrustic each recorded eight tackles for Dartmouth while Ben Ticknor had seven and two pass breakups. Corey Vann posted six stops along with an interception and a breakup.
Park finished 7-for-13 for 145 yards with the two touchdowns and a goal-line interception for the Big Green. Cam Crage was 6-for-8 for 49 yards while Cole Marcoux was 5-for-9 for 43 yards.
Robbie Anthony caught four passes for 40 yards for Dartmouth in addition to kicking PATs, kicking off, punting and returning kicks and punts. Dowdell's TD was one of his three catches on the game. Mark Sasso had three more out of the backfield.
