HANOVER, N.H. – Freshman wide receiver Houston Brown had seven catches for 93 yards including a 34-yard touchdown and freshman llnebacker Alex McCrory returned a tipped pass for a TD and the go-ahead points as the Dartmouth junior varsity opened its season with a 20-7 win over MIddlebury Saturday afternoon.

Sophomore quarterbacks Ernest Evans was 7-for-13 for 111 yards and one touchdown passing while classmate Thomas Militello went 11-of-13 for 106 yards for the Big Green.

Abrm McQuarters ran eight carries for 62 yards and a touchdown to pace the ground attack.

Freshman Brian Fordon led the defense with 10 tackles and a forced fumble. Classmate Lucas Bavaro made seven tackles and got his hands on the pass that McCrory brought back for the touchdown that put Dartmouth ahead for good late in the third quarter.

Freshmen Charlie Miller and Chris Aguemon added interceptions for Dartmouth.

The Big Green returns to action Sept. 29 against the junior varsity from Williams, another New England Small College Athletic Conference team.
