All-Ivy League honorable mention ... received two teams awards — the Lester R. Godwin Award, presented to the senior football squad member who has risen above personal disadvantage to contribute measurably to the team, and shared the John M. Manley ’40 Award for demonstrating the most improvement through his effort in the weight room ... saw time in every game, recording at least two tackles in nine contests ... posted a career-high six stops against Bucknell and Harvard ... also had 1.5 tackles for a loss in those games ... helped out on a sack versus Holy Cross.

JUNIOR (2012)
Healthy and it showed as he started all 10 games and brought down 28 opponents, tied for the most among the Big Green defensive linemen ... consistent performer, posting at least three tackles in each of the first seven contests ... helped out on a key seven-yard sack during the final Holy Cross possession before the Big Green won the game in the final seconds ... one of his three stops at Yale came at the line of scrimmage ... twice dropped Sacred Heart rushers for a loss ... collected a season-high five tackles against Harvard and recovered a Crimson fumble in the third quarter ... also stuffed the Harvard QB at the Dartmouth eight on third down to hold the Crimson to a field goal ... had a tackle for a loss on first down during a goal-line stand that kept Cornell off the board.

First-team All-Big Island Interscholastic Federation selection on both sides of the ball as both a junior and senior ... team MVP as a senior ... all-state honorable mention ... had 13 1/2 tackles for losses as a senior ... won team’s Offensive Lineman Award as sophomore, junior and senior ... earned four letters in football, four in track and three in wrestling ... captained each team as a senior ... fourth in the Hawaii State Wrestling Tournament in the 285-pound class after winning four matches, three on first-period pins ... was 16-3 on year with half of the pins in the first 30 seconds ... also threw weights in spring, earning team MVP award as one of the premier shot and discus throwers on the Big Island.
