After bouncing around from the defensive side to the offensive side and back again, Casey has settled in nicely at strong safety and is at the top of the depth chart there entering his senior season.
Thrived under new defensive coordinator Don Dobes' system, finishing the season tied for second on the team in tackles ... played a significant role off the bench in six of the first seven games before starting the final three at strong safety ... had at least one tackle on special teams in seven of his nine games as well ... recorded a career-high 10 tackles in week two against Sacred Heart ... after making four solo stops at the eventual league champion, Penn, sat out the Yale contest with a nagging injury ... burst back into action against Holy Cross with eight stops and a pass broken up ... had six tackles in games against Columbia, Harvard and Brown each with a career-best five solo stops versus the Crimson ... picked off a Harvard pass, too, but it was negated by an illegal participation penalty on the Big Green ... one of his seven tackles at Cornell went for a three-yard loss ... made more noise on special teams versus Brown by returning two kickoffs a total of 42 yards, the first of which set up a Dartmouth touchdown ... ended the season with seven stops in the 31-0 shutout at Princeton.
Saw his first varsity action in the victory over Columbia ... caught four passes for 59 yards in a 19-14 jayvee win over Middlebury ... snagged a 27-yard touchdown toss in the blowout win against Vermont.
