In the water and on the ice, Dartmouth athletes are excelling in their sports this winter. Senior Nejc Zupan has picked up right where he left off last season setting records everywhere he goes. This past weekend he set pool records in a tri-meet at Yale. Sophomore Lindsey Allen is skating on top of the water with the Big Green hockey team and is leading the team in several categories to this point in the season.

Their efforts are rewarded by being named the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week.

Each week, will spotlight two outstanding student-athletes - one male, one female - as the Northeast Credit Union Athletes of the Week. Student-athletes may be chosen based upon their efforts both on and off the field of competition.

Lindsey Allen (Toronto, Ontario) So, F, Women's HockeySophomore Lindsey Allen continued her strong play for the Dartmouth women's hockey team last weekend, tallying four points as the Big Green went 1-0-1 against Brown and Yale. The second-year forward netted a pair of goals in the opener versus the Bulldogs, including the game tying tally midway through the third period. In the finale, the Toronto, Ontario, native added a goal and an assist as the Green and White skated to 3-3 tie with the Bears. This season, Allen leads the team in goals (9), points (12) and multi-point games (3).

Nejc Zupan  (Kamnik, Slovenia), Sr., Free/IM, Men's Swimming

Dartmouth senior swimmer Nejc Zupan set a pair of Kiphuth Pool records at Yale over the weekend. Zupan's finish in the 100 and 200 breastroke set  Kiphuth Pool records. His time in the 100 was 54.79 and in the 200, 1:59.45. The Slovenian also won the 200-IM in 1:49.19.  Zupan will prepare for his next upcoming race, the Dartmouth Invitational which will be held at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center, January 24th and 25th.
