INDIANAPOLIS – Junior Nejc Zupan (Kamnik, Slovenia) continued his stay at the 2013 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championships, competing in the 100 breaststroke on Friday (March 29).

Zupan, who swan in the first heat, was disqualified for doing an illegal butterfly kick at the start. Although he didn’t qualify, his time of 53.35 would have placed him 17th just outside of advancing to the evening finals. His time also would have been a Dartmouth school record.

Zupan will be back in the water tomorrow as he looks to make the finals in the 200 breaststroke. Preliminary action begins at 11 a.m. at IUPUI’s Sports Complex.
