HANOVER, N.H.- The Dartmouth swimming and diving teams have released their 2012-13 schedule which is highlighted by the third annual Dartmouth Invitational at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center and home dates with Connecticut and Columbia. The Big Green will also head to Florida for their annual winter training trip.
The teams open up the slate with an Ivy League double dual against Harvard and Cornell in Ithaca, N.Y. Last season, the Big Green men and women both defeated Cornell at Harvard. The men's win was the first over the Big Red in recent history.
The Big Green women kick off the home slate against Twin State rival, Vermont on Nov. 28. Dartmouth is looking for its third consecutive win over the Catamounts.
Prior to heading to Florida for its winter training trip, Dartmouth will travel to Brown for an invitational from Nov. 30-Dec. 2 The Invitational will also serve as Dartmouth's annual dual meet with Brown and Princeton.
The Big Green will spend time before the holidays in the Sunshine State. The teams will train in Key Largo and Islamorada before breaking for the holidays.
Dartmouth gets back in the swim of things on Jan. 12 when they travel to Philadelphia for a dual meet against Yale and Penn. The women will also travel to Durham, N.H. to take on rival New Hampshire on Jan. 16.
The Dartmouth Invitational takes place Jan. 25-26 at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center and opens a string of three consecutive home meets for the Big Green. UConn makes the trip to Hanover on Feb. 2 while Columbia comes to town on Feb. 10.
The women will head to Princeton, N.J. for the Ivy League Championship Feb. 21-23 while the men will travel to Providence, R.I. for their Championship Feb. 28-Mar. 2.
