Q and A with Gordon
Why Dartmouth?

Dartmouth drew me in first because of its academics, but also as -- in my mind -- the best school of its caliber for skiing and for outdoor activity. I love winter.

How long have you been skiing and what got you interested in skiing?

I've been skiing my whole life, but only racing since 9th grade. I started racing when I realized I enjoyed endurance sports like biking and running, which people tend to hate.

Have you won any academic or skiing awards recently?

Academic: Rufus Choate Scholar (top 5% of class)

Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.

For all I pretend to be a corn-fed, loyal, conservative midwestern boy (okay, the conservative part is true) I'm actually quite a city boy. Hanover usually feels pretty claustrophobic.

What are your future plans, if any?

Grad school probably, Middle Eastern travels maybe, moving back to the Midwest obviously.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus?

I'm very involved with Christian ministries on Dartmouth's campus, especially Christian Impact and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.
