Q&A with Margo Cox

Why Dartmouth?
Besides the extraordinary academic and athletic opportunities, I came to Dartmouth because every single alumni or student I've ever met is absolutely in love with the school. When I visited the campus, I was struck by the gorgeous campus and strong sense of community.

How long have you been rowing and what interested you about rowing?
I've been rowing since the fall of my freshman year in high school. I was not going to play a fall sport because I decided not to continue playing soccer. A few of my friends were on the crew team and convinced me to join so that they could fill out another novice 8+. I've been hooked since.

What is something about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates?
I don't particularly care for fish. I don't like eating them and I definitely don't like swimming with them.

What extracurricular activities are you involved in on campus?
Other than rowing, I'm a photographer for The Dartmouth.

What are your future plans, if any?
I'm looking forward to making the most of my time at Dartmouth and taking advantage of the study abroad programs.
