Q&A with Lowell Reeve

Why Dartmouth?
I chose Dartmouth because I love New Hampshire, the mountains, and the campus and student body are great.  Not to mention that the Connecticut River is a beautiful place to row.

How long have you been rowing and what got you interested in rowing?

I started rowing in the Spring of my high school freshman year.  After realizing that my middleschool lacrosse skills weren't actually that good and a fun
Fall cross-country season, I decided to try my hand at another endurance sport and loved it.

Have you won any academic or rowing awards recently?

In the spring of 2009 my boat came in third place at the New England Interscholastic Rowing Association Championships and also won the school coaches award.

Tell me something interesting about you that might come as a surprise to your teammates.

Something that might come as a surprise to most of my teammates is that I play the bagpipes.

What are your future plans, if any.

I am still undecided on my course of studies, but this summer I am returning to Islesboro, Maine, to teach sailing in Turnabouts, Optimist Dinghies, and
420's from beginner to racing levels.
