Women's Swimming and Diving Falls to Columbia on Sunday

NEW YORK – The Dartmouth women’s swimming and diving team dropped their final dual meet of the season to Ivy League foe Columbia on Sunday, 167-124.

Despite falling short to Columbia, the Big Green had a great showing at Uris Pool.

Kendall MacRae and Fiona Weeks finished second and third, respectively, in the three-meter diving competition. MacRae then went on to win the one-meter board later in the event. Kendese Nangle placed second in the 100-Back in 58.18. Charlotte Kamai finished 2nd in the 50-free with a 24.43 and then pulled off a win in the 100-free with a 51.65.

In the 1,000-free Erin Henn won with a 10:28.40. Cristiana Salvatori and Olivia Samson finished second and third in the event, as Dartmouth swept the event.

The Big Green also crushed the 200-IM with the top-four finishes with the winner Maddie Wall finishing in 2:12.71. Danielle Kerr, Heather Laedtke and Lindsay Tyler finished 2-4.

The team finished strong with a win and new pool record in the 400-Free Relay as Mary Van Metre, Siobhan Hengemuhle, Kamai and Nangle won the event with a time of 3:26.51.

The Big Green will have a nearly two weeks to prepare before Ivy Championships Feb.20-22 at Brown in Providence, R.I.
