Big Green on a Roll -
The Dartmouth swimming and diving programs continue to impress and had great meets against Yale and Penn last weekend.  The meet between the Big Green and Penn came down to the last race on both sides. The Dartmouth women pulled out a 150-149 win over Penn while the men were narrowly defeated 157.50-142.50.

Dartmouth Women Defeat Vermont - After defeating Penn on Saturday (Jan. 14), the Big Green women traveled to Burlington, Vt., to take on the Catamounts and came away with a 193-107 win. The win was Dartmouth's second consecutive win over Vermont and moved the Big Green women to 4-2 in dual meet action.

Records Fallin' - Sophomore Danielle Kerr (Gainesville, Fla.) set a new Forbush Natatorium record in the 1650 free on Sunday (Jan. 15). Kerr took the event with a time of 17:13.33, beating the nearest competitor by 12 seconds and besting the old record by over 30 seconds. Additionally, Dartmouth's 200 free relay team of Christine Kerr (Gainesville, Fla.), Danielle Kerr (Gainesville, Fla.) Sasha Alcon (Fremont, Calif.) and Elizabeth Kamai (Corte Madera, Calif.) set a new record with a time of 1:41.35.

Serpico Qualifies for NCAA Zone Championship - Senior Erica Serpico (Moorestown, N.J.) qualified for the NCAA Zone Championships on the 1-meter board against Vermont. Serpico won the event with a score of 268.72. The Zone meet will take place March 9-10.

Back at Karl Michael Pool - The Big Green are back at Karl Michael Pool this week for its third home meet of the season. Dartmouth does well at its home pool and is 2-1 in dual meets there. Dartmouth will stay at home for its next three meets.

Big Green Distance Machine - Danielle Kerr (Gainesville, Fla.) has been quite the distance performer this season. She has won the 1000 free in every meet this season and won the 1650 free against Vermont. Kerr isn't the only Big Green swimmer impressing in the distance events. On the men's side Dylan Gabel (Alta Loma, Calif.) won the 1000 free against Yale and Penn.  In two of its three combined meets this season, the Big Green has won the 1000 free on both the men and women's side.

Dartmouth Underclassmen Helping Fuel Turnaround - The Big Green have undoubtedly taken a major step in the right direction this season and a lot of that can be attributed to the success of the talented group of underclassmen. Led by 2010-11 Ivy League champion, Nejc Zupan (Kamnik, Slovenia), the sophomore class accounts for nine Dartmouth varsity records led by three from Zupan in the 1650 free, 1000 free and the 200 IM. The Big Green women own six of those records. Danielle Kerr (Gainesville, Fla.) owns the 200 and fly and 400 IM records while Meredith Sweeney (Hindsdale, Ill.) owns records in the 100 and 200 backstroke. Kendall Farnham (Severna Park, Md.) and Christine Kerr (Gainesville, Fla.) own the 100 fly and 200 free records. The Dartmouth freshman class has also been contributing. Already this season, Big Green freshmen Valerie Orellana (Arleta, Calif.), Sasha Alcon (Fremont, Calif.) and Siobhan Hengemuhle (Boulder, Colo.) have each captured event titles on the women's side. On the men's side divers Ryan Shelley (Sudbury, Mass.) and Ethan Canty (Sunnyvale, Calif.) and swimmer Ian Woon (Highlands Ranch, Calif.) have also won event titles.

Big Green Host Second Annual Dartmouth College Invitational - The Dartmouth College Invitational is on the Big Green schedule for the second consecutive season. The Big Green will welcome Bryant and UMass to the second annual invitational held at the Upper Valley Aquatic Center in White River Junction, Vt., Jan. 27-28.

Wilson, originally hired to coach the Dartmouth men, took over the women's team in 2006. Wilson also returns assistant coaches Jesup Szatkowski and Jenn Verser while Chris Hamilton returns as Dartmouth's diving coach.
