HANOVER N.H. - With the cross country teams coming back from a three-week hiatus the focus will be back on the Big Green this Friday at the Paul Short Invitational.

Two former members of the team have made an impact in the track & field community as of late as Sean Furey '04 and Ben True '08 have garnered national attention in their respective events.

Sean Furey '04 will represent the United States at the Pan American Games in Guadalarja, Mexico from Oct. 24-29, competing in the javelin. Furey was the runner-up at the 2011 USA nationals. During his time in Hanover, Furey was an All-American for Dartmouth and is still the school record holder 73.68m (241-9.0) in the event.

Ben True '08 won the USA 5K road race championship in Providence, R.I., last weekend. Earlier this summer, he won the 10K event in Atlanta, Ga. With one event remaining, a 10-mile event in Minnesota, True leads the USA Running Circuit season-long point total.

The Dartmouth men's and women's cross country teams will return to action this week when they compete in the Paul Short Invitational hosted by Lehigh Friday afternoon.
