EAST GREENWICH, R.I. - In the last tune-up before next weekend's Heptagonal Championship at Princeton, the Dartmouth men's cross country team spent Friday afternoon at Brown's Rothenberg Invitational held in Goddard State Park.

Freshman Tony Anzivino took the top spot, finishing the 8K course in 25:37.6 to earn one point. That individual victory helped the Big Green to a third-place team showing with 61 points.

Junior Matthew Pierce was seventh overall and the second Dartmouth runner to cross the line, doing so in 25:54.7.

Freshmen Peter Geithner (26:01.0, 12th) and Matt Klein (26:37.2, 23rd) and sophomore Will Callan (26:25.7, 18th) rounded out the Big Green harriers in the scoring on the rainy course.

The hosts from Brown earned the team win with 33 points on the strength of four top-10 finishes. UMass was the only other team to best Dartmouth Friday, claiming second with 39 points.
