2011-12 (Freshman): Talbot had a successful first season for the Big Green, highlighted with a sixth-place finish at the New England Championships, helping the sub-varsity team defend its title. Finished 11th at the Dartmouth Invitational and 59th at Mayor's Cup. In track, Talbot ran a season best time of 3:53.08 for 1500m at Heps and 1:51.07 for 800m at the Twilight Invitational.

Before Dartmouth: A four-year letterwinner in track, cross country, and cross country skiing at Robert Service High School ... He captained both the cross country and cross country skiing teams his junior and senior years ... In 2009 he placed 1st in the Alaska State Championships in track and cross country for the 1600m and 3200m ... his junior and senior years he was named the Gatorade and ESPN Player of the Year for track and cross country ... Outside of athletics, he was a founder of the Service Yoga Club as well as the Service Recycling Club.

Personal: Silas Talbot is the son of Bruce and Jennifer Talbot and he has one brother. At Dartmouth, he plans to study Engineering and participate in the Dartmouth Outing Club.
