NORFOLK, VA.   – Behind a solid singles performances, the Dartmouth men’s tennis team defeated Old Dominion, 5-2, on Friday afternoon.

The Big Green nearly won all six singles flights, as Chris Kipouras, Brandon DeBot, George Wall, Diego Pedraza and Brendan Tannenbaum all won their matches.  

DeBot and Tennenbaum needed an extra set to defeat Zvonimir Podvinski and Koen Wiggemans, respectively.

ODU won the first flight, as Carlos Lopez Villa defeated Dovydas Sakinis 7-6 (7-5), 4-2.

The Big Green dropped the doubles point, but the duo of Pedraza and Kipouras forced an tiebreaker but fell 8-7 (7-5).

The Big Green will meet William & Mary on Saturday.
