BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – The No. 41 Dartmouth men’s tennis team won its second straight road match, topping No. 61 Indiana, 4-1, on Sunday at the IU Indoor Tennis Center.

With the victory, the Big Green (11-3) avenged a 6-1 defeat to the Hoosiers (7-7) a year ago.

Dartmouth continued its stellar doubles play, taking two of the three matches to earn the first point of the contest. The Green and White dropped the first doubles match at No. 2, but rallied to win at No. 3 and No. 1. At. No. 3, Chris Kipouras and Diego Pedraza defeated Chris Essick and Stefan Lugonjic, 8-4. With the point on the line, the No. 15 ranked tandem of Cameron Ghorbani and Brendan Tannenbaum outlasted Sven Lalic and Dimitrije Tasic, 8-6.

In singles action, Dartmouth took three matches in straight sets to seal the victory.

Ghorbani, George Wall and Tannenbaum cruised to victory at No. 4, No. 5 and No. 6, respectively.

Kipouras and Brandan DeBot were in the middle of their matches when Dartmouth earned its fourth point of the day. 

The Big Green return to action in the middle of March, taking a four-match road trip in Virginia the 18-22. Dartmouth opens against Richmond and then will travel to face Virginia Commonwealth, Old Dominion and William & Mary.
