HANOVER, N.H. — The Dartmouth men's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season on Saturday at the Boss Tennis Center to 60th-ranked Harvard in the semifinals of the ECAC Championship, 4-2. The Big Green fell to 7-1, while the Crimson improved to 9-1.

Harvard got on the board first by sweeping all three doubles matches. The closest match came at first doubles with the duo of senior Michael Laser (Glencoe, Ill.) and junior Alex de Chatellus (Tiburon, Calif.) lost 8-5 to Casey MacMaster and Alistair Felton.

In the singles portion of the contest, Laser and sophomore Cameron Ghorbani (Lexington, Mass.) each earned victories for Dartmouth. Laser beat Denis Nguyen at second singles, 1-6, 6-2, 7-5. Ghorbani topped Alex Steinroeder at third singles, 6-4, 7-5. 

Dartmouth will play Cornell in the third-place match at 12:30 p.m. on Sunday.
