WILLIAMSBURG, Va.  – The Dartmouth men’s tennis team put together a solid performance against William & Mary, defeating the Tribe, 4-1 on Saturday afternoon.

Although the Big Green fell in all three doubles matches, the team won four of the six singles flights for the overall win. At top flight, Dovydas Sakinis defeated Ben Guthrie, 4-6, 6-2, 6-4 in a dominating come-from-behind fashion.  Sakinis trailed after the first set, but tied the match forcing a tiebreaker. Chris Kipouras won in straight sets, 6-2, 6-0, as did Diego Pedraza over Scott Huang, 6-2, 6-2.  Brendan Tannenbaum defeated John Bank in the sixth flight, 6-4, 6-1.

The third and fifth flight matches were not finished between Brandon DeBot and Will Juggins and George Wall and Damon Niquet.

The Big Green will begin Ivy League play on Apr. 5, as they travel to Cornell.
