MILWAUKEE, WIS. - The Dartmouth men's tennis team topped Marquette, 5-2, on Friday night in non-conference action at the Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
The win is the second straight for the Big Green as they move to 5-6. The triumph was the first for the team from the Upper Valley outside of Hanover in 2013.
Dartmouth is now 2-0 against Big East opponents this season.
In doubles action, the duo of Xander Centenari and Brandon DeBot defeated Logon Collins and David Packowitz, 9-7 at No. 2, while Sam Todd and Chris Kipouras won their martch, 8-2 at No. 3.
In singles action, Dartmouth took four of the six matches to seal the win. Centenari, DeBot and Brendan Tannenbaum each earned straight set victories, while Cameron Ghorbani rallied for a win after dropping the first set of his match at No. 3 singles.
The Big Green return to action on March 3, as they travel it Iowa City to face Big Ten foe Iowa.
